Avocado Face Masks For Silky, Acne Free Skin
Avocado Face Masks
Avocado face masks works wonders for dry skin, but did you know it can work against acne as well? Slathering silky avocado butter on your cheeks feels incredibly soothing. After some time, the avocado may start tingling lightly, and that’s how you know it’s working! Avocado is extremely silky when you apply it topically, and it feels great on inflamed skin. Here are some nutrients in avocado that effectively heal acne and your skin in general:
Phytochemicals & Antioxidants
Avocado contains an entire host of powerful skin-repairing antioxidants. For example, biotin, niacin, riboflavin, thiamine acid and more. Antioxidants like b-vitamins, vitamin A and C, and biotin slow the aging of the skin, brighten dull skin, fight acne causing bacteria, and combat redness.
Avocado contains Vitamin E, which is also known as the “Skin Vitamin” and “skin protector.” Vitamin E is an anti-oxidant, which helps the skin’s UV defense and prevents wrinkles and fine lines from forming. This skin vitamin also helps to block pores, stopping the bacteria that contributes to acne!
Healthy Unsaturated Fat
Avocado has healthy fat in it, which keeps dry and flaky skin moisturized.
Linola Acid is an omega 6 fatty acid which is essential for clear skin. Many people with acne also have low levels of linoleic acid in their skin. Like most healthy fats, linoleic acid keeps skin hydrated, which is important if your acne is due to a lack of oils deep in your skin. Linoleic acid is also anti-inflammatory, meaning it will calm down red, aggravated acne.
