Jojoba Oil For Acne
Jojoba oil is within the seeds from the jojoba tree. It’s not actually an oil, but a wax that is liquid and has very mild scent and golden color. It has been used to treat skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis as well as acne. It is the closest to what our skin produces, making jojoba oil ideal for skin products.
In moisturizers, you will see that it is a very popular ingredient. And using this on people who suffer from oily skin helps regulate it by tricking the skin into thinking it’s making the right amount of oil. If you chose to use it, you could apply it on your skin using a massaging motion. Some people even add a few drops into their daily moisturizers. Keep in mind that jojoba oil can be used on your eyes as well.
There is a method of using an oil to rid oil from your face. This is thought to clear pores from oil as it breaks down. Try alternating cleansing with oil and using your regular cleaner to figure out what will work best for you.
Thankfully, this is one of the oils that you can use to cleanse. Softly massage your skin with the jojoba oil and wipe it away with a warm wash cloth. Rinse and repeat until the oil is completely gone, then splash cold water on your face.
Jojoba oil is also great to treat blemishes. A study conducted in Egypt at Ain Shams Univ. in the 2005 “Pharmacological Research,” that it has proven to have anti-inflammatory factors. Using this oil to treat individual areas is pretty simple by just adding a small amount of tea-tree oil to the mixture. From there you will apply it to the blemish. Tea-tree oil is an organic anti-bacterial that fights acne breakouts. However, tea tree oil is not safe around the eyes.
Remember if you are adding jojoba oil to your acne treatment, buy only cold-pressed, pure jojoba oil in a health supply store. Also use the oil sparingly because if you use too much, your acne could worsen due to too much oil on the skin. If you use jojoba oil as a part of your moisturizer routine, start out with a couple of drops, which will speed up absorption.
